Enthusiastic people

This weekend was full of Scout commitments: whole-day Regional Conferences in Christchurch and Dunedin, with lots of enthusiastic youth and leaders.

At each I shared my plan to walk Te Araroa. Perhaps it’s because SCOUTS is a perfect organisation for people who love the outdoors, but I received nothing but positive feedback and best wishes. Oh alright… and a couple of “You are a little unbalanced, aren’t you?!” 🙂

A number of folk even asked if they could join me for a portion of the journey! I hope to be able to make this happen somehow. GPS tracking would certainly make it easier to organise…

Three weeks today and I’ll be at Cape Reinga. <gulp> There still seems to be a lot to organise before then. Roll on a productive and lots-of-walking week!
