hey thanks to you I looked really intelligent at the gala dinner last night – someone asked me how big in land mass NZ was – and I said – 3000km long!!!
Uh-oh… hate to put a dampener on your ‘looking intelligent’ Karen, but…
If you drive (or walk for that matter) along State Highway 1 from Cape Reinga to Bluff, it’s 2,000km.
Because Te Araroa twists and turns, linking established tracks and visiting some remote places, the trail is 3,000km.
We’ll just keep it our little secret, shall we? 😉
