Te Araroa photos

I had just sat down for lunch yesterday (during my catch-up portion of ‘get into Kerikeri’) when Rebecca and Lucy trotted along the trail. They’d been following me for a few days, having also started at Cape Reinga. We swapped a few brief tales of ‘been there, done that’.

It was awesome to chat with other people who ‘knew’ why I’m doing what I’m doing, and also have the scratches and blisters to show for it.

Good luck ahead girls! Don’t be like me and go too hard, even though you have a deadline to walk towards…

With a lot of the walking, the scenery is similar so I’m not taking many photos. But here are a couple more for your enjoyment.

Gumdigger's hut in Herekino Forest

Awww... ain't they pretty?

Rainbow Falls along the Kerikeri River had two swimmers cooling off beneath.

Kerikeri's historic Stone Store. They don't build them like this any more!

Hi Stuart, hope you’re *patiently* resting up up well and your leg is healing. Still, there could be worst places than KeriKeri to be stuck…
